Rundale palace is one of Latvia’s most outstanding monuments of Baroque and Rococo art created between 1765 and 1768 by Johanh Michael Graff from Berlin and Italian masters Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucchi from St. Petersburg.
Rundale Palace was a summer residence built for Dukes of Courland at Pilnsrundale (80 km from Riga), designed by architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, and has a real history behind it, although it also has famous French Style Park, green amphitheatre and extremely beautiful rose garden.
